Say Me

Description

The dermatophytes are not a particular fungus but rather a common short-hand label for a group of three genera of fungi that commonly cause skin disease of people and animals. These are the genera Epidermophyton, Trichophyton, and Microsporum. Please refer to these individual fungi for more details.

You may also wish to refer to our discussion of fungal infections of hair and skin.
